Wild Mountain "Cherokee Yield" Zip Hoodie
A Piece of Tulsa History. A Story of Family. A Celebration of Cherokee Language, Legacy, and Meaning.
The Wild Mountain “Yield” Zip Hoodie carries lineage, love, and a deep continuity of story. Featured on the back is a rare historic Yield sign with Cherokee language created by Tulsan Clinton Riggs, great-grandfather of Wild Mountain’s own Mark Kuykendall, known for inventing one of the most recognizable traffic symbols in the world. This special edition was created to honor his wife, Veda Riggs, an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation, by incorporating the Cherokee language into the sign as a gesture of love and cultural acknowledgment.
Today, Mark’s wife Anjelica Lindsey, also a Cherokee Nation citizen, composer, and recording artist, continues working with Cherokee language through music and artistic practice. And in a meaningful coincidence that feels less like coincidence and more like connection, Veda and Anjelica share the same birthday, making a small but powerful thread tying generations together through time and culture.
The hoodie, like Wild Mountain itself, represents the act of finding meaning and honoring it. Soft, durable, and thoughtfully made, this is more than merch. It is Tulsa history. Cherokee presence. Family legacy.
This zip hoodie is soft, warm, and versatile enough for year-round layering. With its relaxed fit and clean design details, it’s the kind of hoodie you’ll reach for daily, whether you’re on the go or lounging at home.
